Why did you choose the class / specialization that you currently play?
I chose rogue before legion launch because it was estimated to be in the top DPS. After Outlaw tanked I stopped playing, but I returned in NH to play assasination and then learned subtley for ToS.
On the real it was a FOTM choice, but I always wanted to main a rogue at some point so it worked out.
What resources do you use for theorycrafting, or to improve your gameplay?
Rogue discord channel and youtube, at this point discord is THE best source for guides and first hand player knowledge/tips.
Under what circumstances would you consider it appropriate to bench a raid member for the remainder of an evening or for a specific encounter?
When they have repeatedly died to familiar mechanics, get other players killed in order to get a parse, wipe the raid multiple times, or add toxicity to the atmosphere.
All or a combination would be reasonable in my book.
On a boss encounter, what role do you prefer, and why (e.g.: off-tank healing or add duty)?
I can only DPS as rogue but I have tanked in the past and enjoyed it very much.
Your raid leader has directed you to change to a specific talent that you don’t necessarily agree with. How do you approach the situation?
Listen to their perspective and change it or if in fact said talent isn't beneficial explain why I shouldn't switch. However, if no other role in the raid can provide that talent then I would switch to benefit the group.
Does time spent doing something equate to quality of outcome? Explain your response.
Depends, if insight and skill is gained during that time then yes. Repetition without progress amounts to nothing.
Provide any details of any negative account actions that you have received, if any:
What is your education level? Provide a general description of what you do to draw a paycheck.
